Susa is a fortified town in the Prov-
ince of Tunis. forty miles from Ham-
mamet, on the seashore of the Gulf of
Hammamet. I is connected by rail with
the city of Tunis and has a port adapted
for large vessels. The waterfront is plan-
ted with rows of palms. The city risks
on a terrace, like a plateau, which gives
it the appearance of twice its real size.
