MORRO ROCK
Morro Rock (Sp. for headland) is often called
the "Gibraltar of the Pacific. Indians who lived
here as late as the 1800s. In fact they disappeared
in one life-time, shortly after the arrival of the
Missionaries in the late 1700s. This year-round
resort town is the home of people from all waiks
of life, It is a town with a lot of history but no
historic landmarks, a town of people on the go
but with people who linger to paint or write,
a beautiful town that grew without plan, a town
that could only be Morro Bay. . M. P.
