Cathedral, Spanish Town. This town was formerly the
seat of the Government at Jamaica, and a place of some im-
portance. It is now a quiet place, with a somewhat deserted
appearance. Near the Central Square is the red-brick
Cathedral, which contains several interesting monuments,
including one to Lady Elgin.
