Resting by the way. The picture is very representa-
tive of scenes to be observed on the country roads of
Jamaica. The country folk, in their bright and varied
costumes, may be seen on market days in considerable
numbers, with their baskets of produce balanced on their
heads, hastening to the nearest town with the object of
disposing of their goods.
