30 ST. DEMETRIOS GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH 1217 North Avenue Waukegan, Illinois 60085 St. Demetrios Church was erected in 1960, consecrated in 1970. Architects were Theodore and Camburas. The Iconostasion, Holy Altar, Pulpit, Throne and Epi- taphio were hand carved in Greece by Theofanis c. Nomikos. The Byzantine Icons were hand painted by Constantine Youssis.
