"The Original Lowell Showboat" is held six nights each year
during the last full week of July. This community event typten
fies the old Mississippi Showboats of the “Gay Nineties."
The community of Lowell, with its unique location, if making

old river showboat. The annual event started in 1882 with an
attendance of 1200 has grown until weekly attendance now M
reaches 40,000. The lowell Showboat is without doubt oh
