CHOCTAW INDIAN PRINCESS
Princess Loretta Steve is shown here. The prin-
cess contest and judging is one of the highlights
of the annual Choctaw Indian Fair, held the last
4 days of August. The Fair is held at the Pearl
River Indian School and features Choctaw handi-
crafts, produce, stick-ball games, and ceremonial
dances. Comanches, Apaches and Kiowas are
usually present to perform Western (Plains) In-
dian dances, at Philadelphia, Miss.
