MISSILE MOVER-Feats of the famed Lockheed Hercules
prop-jet cargo-personnel transport include the ability
to carry 90 per cent of American missiles, their
launching devices and support equipment, to virtually
any spot on the globe. The 360-miles-per-hour C-130A
is in world-wide service with the Air Force, has been
ordered also by the U. S. Coast Guard and the Royal
Australian Air Force. Photograph shows the Lockheed
X-17 missile and a Hercules with huge rear ramp open
on the flight line at Lockheed's Marietta, Ga., plant,
the home of the Hercules.
