A relic of the old Spanish town, when every set-
tlement had its plaza, is seen in Central Park, Los
Angeles. The plaza of the early days now forms.
a garden in the very heart of the city. The
structure immediately opposite is the Temple, con-
taining an auditorium seating 4,000, a banquet hall
with space for 1,000, and two concert halls in addi-
tion to offices and studios. Central Park is the
oldest of the Los Angeles parks.
