Braniff Airways carries passengers, mail and ex-
press from Chicago, Ill., to Brownsville, Tex., over
the "Great Lakes To The Gulf" route. Braniff
planes fly 9,000 miles each day and night at a
speed of better-than-three-miles-a-minute. The
"Electra" carries 10 passengers and two pilots.
The cabin chairs recline to a sleeping position.
The cabin is sound-proofed so passengers can
talk in ordinary tones.
