The Council Chamber and Mayor's office are contained in the building at
left, which is separated from the administrative building by a civic square
and fountain. Since incorporation as a city in 1874, Winnipeg has grown
in population from 1,869 to over 550,000, to become the third largest
incorporated city in Canada.

une esplanade. La population de Winnipeg a augmenté de 1,869 en
