Festivities along the waterfront Liberty Bay Park in
POULSBO, WASHINGTON during the annual three day Vik-
ing Fest. A longstanding tradition celebrating Norway's May
17 Independence Day, the fest is held on the weekend
closest to May 17. Real vikings in authentic warrior costume
freely roam the streets.
Settled in the 1880's during the Scandanavian migration,
Poulsbo is the hub of the North Kitsap peninsula.
