Altitude 6,198 ft.
With a population of about 8000, this beautiful little
southwestern Colorado town lies in the heart of the
4 Corners Country, close to the place where Arizona,
Utah, New Mexico and Colorado meet at a common
point. Cortez is the gateway to Mesa Verde National
Park seen here in the right distance. The snow
covered mountains are the La Platas east of Durango.
