A night-time view of the world's longest suspen-
sion bridge, connecting Michigan's two peninsulas;
at Mackinaw City on the lower and St. Ignace on
the upper peninsula. Costing a hundred million
dollars, it was four years in the building. Designed
by Dr. D. B. Steinman. Prime contractors were
Merritt, Chapman & Scott, and American Bridge
Company.
