GREATER KOODO0
(Strepsiceros strepsiceros)
The greater koodoo (often spelled kudu) carries the longest
horns of any African antelope. These rise in a spreading
and tapering spiral from the well-proportioned head, borne
by the stately body. This antelope is well distributed
through Africa south of the Sahara but not in the rain
forests. It is shy and wary, and is seen in small bands or
alone.
