ART PUBLISHERS TO THEIR MAJESTIES THE KING AND QUEEN,
A THOUSAND ACRE ALFALFA FIELD.
Alfalia is a perennial, clover-like plant having oblong-shaped
leaves, growing to a height of two to five feet, with purple
blossoms in long, loose clusters. An alfalfa field furnishes a
source of home grown food for all live stock better than any
heretofore available. Six to ten bushels of seed is the usual
yield per acre, and in Texas, ten crops a year are sometimes
produced.
