REDEMPTION OF STAMPS.
Important Decision of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue.
Under a ruling of the Department, March 22nd, no claim amounting
to less than $2.00 (100 stamps) would be allowed; this has since been changed so
that the customer can turn in his unused checks to the bank in any quantity,
providing he originally purchased them from the bank, and they may be re-
deemed by the bank in a lump and under one claim, providing certain require-
ments are fulfilled; the latter are, a certificate of sale, identification label, and a
schedule of the separate lots, giving certain necessary data to the Government
officials.
We have prepared these forms, with full explanations on same, and
they have been approved by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. We will
forward, postpaid on receipt of price, a book of 50 with the necessary sched-
ules for 75 cents, or a book of 100 with the necessary schedules for $1.25.
