Fleishhacker Swimming Pool and Play Field. Can you
imagine 10,000 bathers in one pool at one time? That
is the capacity of this 1000 ft. tank. It is 100 ft. wide
and varies in depth from 3 to 14 ft. Though an outdoor
pool its temperature is kept at 70 degrees the year
round. Immediately adjacent is Fleishhacker Play-
ground and the Fleishhacker Zoo, with over 1000
animals on its 40 acres.
