In the distance on the left are the ruins of the once
magnificent four-story concrete John S. Cook Bank
Building on the corner of Golden and Broadway,
Rhyolite, Nevada, and cost $100,000. It was thor-
oughly modern and lavishly equipped. It was the
finest bank building in the State of Nevada and
would have done credit to any great city in America.
