LARIAT TRAIL, DENVER MOUNTAIN PARKS
From Wild Cat Point an exceptional view of
the Lariat Trail is obtained with the snow-
capped peaks of the Continental Divide show-
ing in the distance. The Upper Hairpin is one
of the best examples of scenic engineering in
America. The road maintains its width of
twenty feet throughout and is guarded by
stone posts and steel cables. More than half
a million people passed over this road last
year.
