Since May, 1963, the U.S. Navy YTB-764, named
U.S.S. Mishawaka, has been in service at the
Naval Station, San Diego, California.
The Mishawaka, a yard tug boat whose duties are
to assist Navy ships entering and leaving port,
weighs 550 tons, is powered by 2,000 horsepower
diesel engine and has a crew of seven.
