18—GLEN HOUSE
AT BASE OF MOUNT WASHINGTON
PINKHAM NOTCH, WHITE MOUNTAINS, N, H.
One of the best known and beloved of the
ancient hostelries in the White Mountains is
the Glen House of Gorham, which lies in the
upper reaches of Pinkham Notch at the base
of Mt. Washington. Here the scenery is truly
magnificent and an ascent of this highest of
the White Mountain peaks may easily be
made in one's own car over the famous Au-
tomobile Road which starts from the Glen
House, or in one of the safe and comfortable
busses cperated from that house.
