The Navahos are called "bedouins of the des-
ert," because they never settle for any length of
time in one village, but live in hogans or tempor-
ary structure and travel from place to place. The
Navahos are noted for their blankets, and they are
also expert silversmiths. They are great horsemen
and on the reservation raise numbers of sheep and
goats.
