Northern terminus of the Champlain Division of the State
Barge Canal System. A barge and tuğ are seen going
thru the locks. Whitehall, known as Skeenesboro during
the Revolutionary War, was famous for building the
American fleet which engaged the British at the battle
of Valcour Island..
