Charter Oak, most famous of all the hundreds
of thousands of valley oaks in and near
Visalia, Tulare County, California. Under this
tree, as shown by the weathered plaque,
Tulare county was chartered by an election
held on July 10, 1852. The tree is aver 200
years old.
