Apple Valley is located a short distance from the
desert town of Victorville near the Mojave River.
On a hill between the Inn and Golf Course is
the home of Newton Bass who purchased the land.
in 1946 and started its development. The valley
has an airport that services the desert area. The
golf course is known the world over. Apples grew
in the valley at one time but today ranch type
homes dot the country-side, a place where one
can have a little luxurious living in the open
