One day in 1893 Mr. Henry Ford pushed his first
1934
car out of his workshop on Bagley Avenue, De-
troit, and found that it would run just as he had
planned it. This was the start of a gigantic in-
dustry. His conviction that low prices would per-
mit people of modest means to own cars was the
main reason the automobile industry has grown to
such huge proportions.
