Bare Hill, as it is known to the White man, was the birth place of the Seneca Indians. According to legends. It also was the scene of the destruction of a great serpent which was finally killed by a magic bow of arrowsent down by the great spirit. As the monster rolled down the hill in his death on his death agonies, all vegetation was destroyed and no trees grew on its slops of centuries. |
