The "First in America" Advertising record has been made many times in these offices. The Detroit News set a world record in 1926 by publishing 34,030,570 lines of paid advertising. The News triumphed over all other newspapers in America, in advertising published, in 1916, 1919, 1920, 1924 and 1926, stood second in 1914, 1915, 1917, 1918, 1921, 1923 and 1925, and third in 1922. Of trading areas of the United States, none of Detroit's size is so completely covered in circulation by one newspaper as is the Detroit trading territory by The Detroit News.
