LE
RAINBOW
General Motors Building
The scientists of the General
Motors Research Laborator-
ies have brought to A Cen-
tury of Progress an artificial
rainbow, produced by a huge
prism instead of by raindrops
as in nature. This rainbow,
or spectrum, is a vivid dis-
play-an unusual symphony
of the purest color tones that
can be enjoyed by the naked
eye. years astronomers
have made chemical analyses
of the heavenly bodies by
means of the spectroscope:
now its great sensitivity can
be applied to the accurate
analysis of the steel that goes
into motor cars. (7his is one
of many surprising Research
exhibits in the General Motors
Brilding at the Exposition.)

From every part of the world, millions of
visitors are coming to A Century of Progress,
Chicago. One of the great sights is the General
Motors building. This exhibit alone is worth a
trip to the World's Fair. Plan to spend at
least one day under the Tower by the Lake.
