The Travel and Transport Buildings con-
sist of a giant dome 300 ft. in diameter and
120 ft. high at the center, and a barrel.
shaped structure 220x100 ft. and 80 ft.
high. The great dome is of unique construc-
tion, with a roof that breathes. The roof is
suspended 125 ft. above the ground from
cables attached to twelve steel towers on
the principle of the suspension bridge. The
roof expands and relaxes with the tempera-
ture 6 ft. in circumference and rises and
falls 18 inches.
