Air view of A Century of Progress—Chicago's
1933 World's Fair. From Thirty-ninth St. to
Roosevelt Road, the site of Chicago's second inter-
national exposition runs in a narrow strip along the
sky-blue waters of Lake Michigan to a background
of towering skyscrapers. Besides the Field Museum,
Soldiers' Field, Shedd Aquarium and Adler Plane-
tarium-permanent adornments of Chicago's lake-
front—the completed exposition buildings are shown
in this picture.
