This famous old racing car played an important
1934 part in the early growth of the Ford Motor Co.
Built in 1902 by Henry Ford, the car broke exist-
ing records for the mile, and in 1904 set a sensa-
tional mark of 39 2/5 seconds on the ice of Lake St.
CENTURIT Claire, Detroit. Its performance carried the name
and fame of Henry Ford into every part of the na-
tion, and helped to enlist financial aid for his company.
