SANTA SUSANA, CALIFORNIA
Famous landmark Southern Pacific Railroad
Station. Before the advent of the railroad in
1903, linking San Francisco and Los Angeles,
this area was traversed by stage coach. Not
only were the roads steep and treacherous, but
during the 1850's to 1870's gangs of bandits
such as Vasquez and Murietta travelled this
route and held up stage coaches. The famous
railroad tunnels seen in many western movies
are located in the Santa Susana Pass.
