Rogers Hall, living quarters for Upper School boys and girls. Built in 1806, Rogers Hall housed the famous Round Hill School of Bancroft and Cogswell, and in the Bancroft wrote his history of the United States. It was part of the Round Hill Water Cure Retreat where Jenny Lind spent three months of her honeymoon and described the view of the valley as the "Paradise of America." It is named in honor of Miss Harriet B Rogers, First Principal of the School and pioneer in the oral education of the deaf. |
