MEMORIAL HOUSE, marking George Washington's Birth-
place, Westmoreland County, Virginia. Built by Wake-
field National Memorial Association, Inc. 1930-31 as
principal feature at George Washington Birthplace Na-
tional Monument. Also to be seen is the restored vault
of the Washington family, where are buried the Father,
Grandfather and Great Grandfather of George Washington
in direct descent.
