Broadway, Fulton and Vesey Streets. One of the
most congested thoroughfares during the business hours
of the day is Broadway around Fulton and Vesey Streets.
Here one sees throngs of people hurrying to and fro, and a
ceaseless procession of trolley cars and all kinds of vehicles.
The famous old Astor House, erected in 1837, stands at
the corner of Broadway and Vesey Street, while opposite
are the historic St. Paul's Church and graveyard.
