Market Place. Dominica is one of the Leeward
Islands, lying equidistant between Guadeloupe and
Martinique. Roseau, the capital, is a picturesque though
dilapidated city. A favourite part of the town is the
market place, a roofed-in space near the coast, the cool
sea breeze making the place endurable even in the hottest
hours of the day.
