Additional Details:
The ruins of the Pecos Indian Mission church at the abandoned pueblo of Cicuye are thought by some to mark what was the greatest community center in America at the time of Columbus' discovery. Cicuye is supposed to have been continuously inhabited for 1200 years and here the Spaniards found the largest settlement in New Mexico.
