25/2 feet. Distance from center to center of
main piers, 680 feet. Main span clearance,
600 feet. Material used: 1500 piling, 50,000
barrels of cement, 23,000 cubic yards of sand,
42,000 cubic yards of gravel, 9,285 tons of
structural steel, 1,906 tons re-inforcing steel.
Total cost of bridge and approaches, $2,750,000.
This bridge is the highest bridge in the South.
