Buffalo Bill requested of and received per-
mission from Gen. Miles to take Sitting Bull
(Famous Sioux Chief) on tour with his Wild
West Show to convince him of resources of
the Whites and folly of continuing the Indian
Wars. Sitting Bull was killed by Indian
Police in 1891 while resisting arrest.
