THE EASTMAN HOTEL is the largest hotel in
Hot Springs, having accommodations for 1,000 guests. It is a
seni-Moresque structure, surrounded with pleasant parks and
grounds, and has an observatory tower 200 feet high, which
gives a magnificent view of the mountains and far-away Ouachita
River. The hotel was opened in 1890 and is valued at half
a million dollars.
