The Sycamore Inn... since 1849 carrying on the tradition of hospitality for which this historic spot has been known since the Golden Days of '49- Away back in 1849, in the days of the Gold Rush, there stood on the exact spot now occupied by the Sycamores a little trailside inn, operated by "Uncle Billy" Rubottom that was known far and wide for its friendly hospitality. THe spot is marked by a monument and plaque erected by the Native Daughters of the Golden West. Today the Sycamore Inn - remodeled and redecorated - standing in the cool shade of a beautiful Sycamore Grove, is dedicated to the same ideal of friendly hospitality that characterized its historic fore-runner over one hundred years ago. Good food, prepared in an atmosphere that enhances enjoyment of it; a cocktail lounge pleasantly appointed and widely known for the excellence of its extensive wine list; private dining areas - these are just a few features that enable us, at the Sycamores, to maintain the standards of hospitality for which this historic spot was famous one hundred years ago. We are happy to welcome you to the friendly Sycamore Inn. Bear-Gulch - Cucamunga One Mile East of Upland, California, on Highway 66
