Paper Corp., the World's Largest Pulp
and Paper Mill and Kraft Container Plant.
Located on Highway 17, three miles
west of Savannah, the plant attracts
thousands of visitors annually.
Using pine and soft hardwoods as
its principal raw material, the pulp and
paper mill produces annually more than
800,000 tons of paper and paperboard.
The bag division's production totals
approximately eight billion bags a year.
The box plant produces better than
50,000 tons of corrugated sheets and
containers annually.
The chemical plant produces ap-
proximately 65,000 tons of distilled and
refined tall oil, by-products of the kraft
paper making process.
Plant tours are conducted twice
daily, at ten A.M., and two P.M., Mon-
days through Fridays. Visitors are
welcome.
