DELAWARE & HUDSON 5002
The new D&H look! Alco built RS-11 in the new “mostly blue” paint scheme at
the Voohreesville, NY Industrial Park, August 18, 1977. No. 5002 was the first
locomotive to be painted in this new scheme and, as can be seen, is fresh out of the
paint shop. Built in March 1960, No. 5002 was one of a group, 5000-5005, built as
Nos. 8009-8014 for the New York Central but never delivered.
