THE CANADIAN
A classic in North American railroading, CP Rail's "The Canadian", train No. 2
travels beside the Columbia River eastbound to Montreal. The place is Moberly,
British Columbia on the Mountain Subdivision and the pair of F Units, 1416 and
1418, lead the gleaming Budd built stainless steel cars on time at 9:05 A.M.
September 2, 1977. The land cruiser is a vacation on wheels with its complement
of coaches, sleepers, lounges, domes and diners. Truly, half the fun is getting there.
