SANTA FE 5016
Santa Fe 2-10-4 5016 and a Pennsylvania F3 team up to doublehead a freight
northbound out of Worthington, Ohio. Although the date is June 10, 1956,
the summer of the year was noted for the lease of Santa Fe Texas type loco-
motives to assist the Pennsy's steam locomotives of the same wheel arrangement
on the line out of Columbus. The Texas types, both Santa Fe and Pennsylvania,
doubleheaded on the Pennsy's Ohio ore trains. Twelve Santa Fe 2-10-4 oil
burners were leased by the Pennsylvania Railroad this memorable summer.
