A two day inspection trip from Selkirk, N.Y. to Boston, Mass. with Conrail 4022 arrives
East Deerfield, Mass. on April 13, 1983. The eastbound leg, the first day, was on the
Boston & Maine and on Conrail's own former Boston & Albany rails, westbound, the
following day. The train arrived Selkirk for the New England portion of the inspection
trip via the former New York Central West Shore line from New Jersey the preceding
evening. After returning to Selkirk via the B&A, the train headed west over the
Mohawk Division. Train consist was former Erie-Lackawanna E8 833, business cars 1, 2,
11, 10 and coach 12.
