Former Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives once again tread over familiar rails as
the pair doublehead a National Railway Historical Society Convention Special. 7002 and
1223 and train pause at Rockville tower just north of Harrisburg, Pa., August 23, 1985.
Both steam locomotives are leased by the Strasburg Rail Road from the Railroad
Museum of Pennsylvania. E2 No. 7002 was built by Juniata in 1902 but it is now
actually class E7s No. 8063 also built in 1902. D16 No. 1223 was also built by Juniata,
in 1906.
