READING 2102
Recreating the famous Reading Co. Iron Horse Ramblers of the '50's and '60's, the
Reading Company Technical & Historical Society operated a series of four Rambles in
September 1985. Excursions operated out of the Blue Mountain & Reading's Temple,
Pa. station, north of Reading, to Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Jim Thorpe, Pa. Northern
2102 is seen here in Reading on September 15. Reading 2102 is a 110 foot class T-1
steam locomotive rebuilt, along with 29 others, from 76 foot class 1-10 Consolidations
in 1945-47. A fitting way to mark the fortieth anniversary of T-1 service.
